What happened to Google Fit?

The Fit app still exists, but its API was deprecated in 2024. Health Connect is the supported data layer for all new fitness apps.

Do I need to do anything?

If you had Google Fit data, install Health Connect (or it's pre-installed on most Android 14+ phones) and grant Ascend permission. Existing data ports over.

Is Wear OS supported?

Yes — Wear OS feeds Health Connect directly. Ascend reads it the same way.
