Common questions

Why does Ascend exist?

Most fitness apps reward you with a streak number you forget by Friday. Ascend gives you a mountain you remember.

Why solo / no VC?

Fitness apps die when they chase growth metrics over retention. Ascend's design constraints are user-aligned because there's no growth team to over-rule the founder.

Privacy stance?

No third-party ad SDKs, no data brokers. PostHog runs in cookieless memory-only mode. Apple Health + Health Connect data stays on-device unless you toggle sync.
